The Awareness and Localization of Explosives Related Threats (ALERT) program at Northeastern University employs an Advanced Imaging Technology (AIT) lab in the Egan building on Campus. In this lab there are technologies used to image the surface of the human body, very similar to the systems used at airports worldwide today.
